Mission

We are an Association of California National Guard Veterans and veterans who care about California. Our mission is to support reform of the California Military Department, support justice and access to the courts for all victims of command sponsored, or military service related, abuse, reprisals and other maltreatment, and defend those who have defended our country and our freedoms. Our focus is to help the men and women who have served California and our nation.

We are professional veterans’ advocates before Congress, the state legislature and before government organizations. Cal Guard Vets promotes state and federal legislation and policies supportive of the rights of veterans and their issues, in conjunction with our obligation to California veterans and veterans of the Armed Forces of the United States.

Cal Guard Vets provides a medium for the exchange of ideas, information, training and support to facilitate delivery of services to nearly three million California veterans.

We are committed to fostering a mutually beneficial relationship for the common good of all veterans who have served California and veterans of the Armed Forces of the United States residing in California. It is our intent that every veteran residing in California receive the maximum state and federal benefits and services to which they are entitled by law.
